President Duterte visits Jolo, Sulu to see the incident and help the victims
January 28, 2019 - President Rodrigo Duterte visits Jolo to personally see the damage dealt by the "twin bombs" that exploded in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and help the victims including the wounded militaries.
Duterte described the incident as an "act of terrorism". Bong Go was also with the president during the visit and even said on a radio interview - "I condemned it in the strongest possible terms. Alam nyo, nasa loob pa naman ng simbahan yung nangyari, nagdarasal po yung mga kababayan natin."
Bong Go also said that President Duterte will help the victims including the families of the victims. Despite the risk of going to the place of incident, Pres. Duterte still went to make sure he knows exactly what happened and make things better.
Presidential Spokesperson - Salvador Panelo said in a statement on Monday that the president was very disappointed that "despite the movement to tread the path towards peace and development there are still certain forces in that region who shows terror and kill innocent people."
An hour after the bombing incident, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was ordered by the president to secure the safety of the residents in the area while still on investigation.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks, although the Government is still investigating to name the real suspects.
How could these people do such demonic acts? Aren't they Filipino too?
They love their religion so much that even killing Christians (fellow men) is heaven - as far as we are concern, that blood bath happened in a Sanctuary of God.
